About the role
Role focused on drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating state and local government contracts to support sales and business development, guiding procurement processes, and ensuring compliance, pricing, and delivery requirements.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, analyze, and negotiate all sales contracts.
- Map tradeoffs within the contract to Peregrine’s business goals.
- Guide the procurement process (fiscal, legal, etc.).
- Support the sales team with compliance, pricing, delivery requirements, etc.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, sales, operations, and other stakeholders to move deals forward.
- Deliver contracts to customers with an understanding of their funding and procurement process.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of contracting experience in the enterprise software/SaaS space, state and local governments strongly preferred.
- Experience using contract lifecycle management systems and CRM software (Salesforce preferred).
- Ability and comfort negotiating and closing legal agreements and onboarding new customers.
- Experience utilizing direct contracting mechanisms and 3rd party contracting vehicles such as Cooperative Purchasing Agreements.
- Familiarity with solution-based selling and teaming to navigate a complex sales process.
- Excellent executive-level written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Located in New York City, willing to come into the office 4 days/week.
