About the role

Senior Electromagnetic Simulation Expert focused on high-frequency electromagnetics in semiconductors, chip and advanced package design, signal and power integrity, with opportunities to apply EM theory to real-world industrial challenges and to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Independently building complex electromagnetic models from the ground up, covering low-frequency and high-frequency EM applications, including validation with experimental data.
  • Automating simulation pipelines to enable fast optimization and parametric design coupling for broad EM applications.
  • Leveraging cloud platform and on-premises HPC to accelerate high-fidelity models beyond basic meshing choices.
  • Collaborating with customers to understand engineering challenges and solve them using simulation and AI, presenting results clearly and suggesting next steps.
  • Working at the intersection of CAE and data science to generate accurate simulation results and predictions to train ML/DL models.
  • Continuously improving engineering practices, adapting EM model setups and outputs to support deep learning surrogates.
  • Mentoring junior engineers as part of a collaborative team.
  • Traveling to customer sites in North America (average 3-4 weeks per quarter) to build solutions on site.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of industry experience (post Masters or PhD) in a commercial, non-research environment.
  • Strong expertise in electromagnetic theory and simulation, with hands-on experience in low- and high-frequency electromagnetics, and EMI/EMC analysis.
  • Proficiency in at least one industry-standard EM simulation platform (e.g., Ansys HFSS, Ansys Maxwell, CST Studio Suite, COMSOL Multiphysics with RF/AC/DC, Altair FEKO, Altair Flux, Siemens Simcenter MAGNET).
  • Experience with PCB layout and signal integrity analysis (e.g., Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, Ansys SIwave) is a plus.
  • Coding skills in Python and/or MATLAB are advantageous.
  • Ability to work with real-world phenomena across multiple industries (automotive, aerospace, telecom, semiconductors).

Skills

Required:Electromagnetic theory and simulationEM simulation platforms
Nice to have:Python or MATLABPCB layout and SI analysis

Benefits

  • Equity options
  • 5% contribution to 401(k)
  • Free team lunch 1x/week
  • Private health insurance
  • Enhanced parental leave (3 months paternity, 6 months maternity)
  • 20 days annual leave (+ public holidays)
  • Personal development support
