About the role

Press Machine Operators sought for ARC’TERYX manufacturing facility in New Westminster, BC. Full-time permanent on-site role with after 3 months of training, opportunities for skill development and career progression within a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Following company apparel construction procedures per model specifications and supervisor instructions to produce key products (e.g., Alpha SV jacket, outdoor clothing, Veilance products, harnesses and packs)
  • Reviewing, troubleshooting, and repairing quality control issues with Quality Control Inspector and Team Leader/Supervisor
  • Championing continuous improvement and identifying areas of improvement with the team
  • Cross-learning to develop skills and help all production lines as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced work environment (e.g., manufacturing, food services, hospitality)
  • English communication acceptable for multicultural team
  • Comfort with labor-intensive work environments, standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks on a machine
  • Excellent dexterity
  • Adaptability and flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment with rapid feedback
  • Ability to think creatively, provide feedback, and propose new ideas
