About the role

Industrial Sewing Machine Operator role at ARC’TERYX in New Westminster, BC. Full-time permanent position on a Monday–Friday schedule, on-site, with 3 months of training and opportunities for skill development and internal advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Following Company procedures of apparel construction per model specifications and instructions from Team Leader/Supervisor to produce key products (e.g., Alpha SV jacket, outdoor clothing, Veilance products, harnesses and packs)
  • Handling sewing-related tasks as well as basting and pressing operations using company equipment
  • Reviewing, troubleshooting, and repairing quality control issues with Quality Control Inspector and Team Leader/Supervisor
  • Championing continuous improvement and identifying areas for evolution with the team
  • Participating in cross-learning to develop skills and support other production lines as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-year experience operating Industrial Sewing Machines (e.g., Juki)
  • Ability to communicate in English (multicultural team)
  • Passion for sewing, high attention to detail, and willingness to learn and develop new sewing skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple feedbacks in a single day
  • Ability to think creatively, provide feedback, and propose new ideas
