About the role

Summer 2027 Software Engineering Internship in Taipei, Taiwan for PhD students in Computer Science or related fields. Rolling review with an open application window until April 30, 2027. Location options include Taipei or New Taipei City; English proficiency required. 10-12 week paid internship focused on designing, implementing, and managing software and systems infrastructure for Google services and Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software for Google Cloud’s infrastructure to empower Google service and external cloud customers, with hardware platforms including compute, storage, or AI-accelerators like TPUs and GPUs.
  • Create and support a productive and innovative team including working with peers, managers, and teams.
  • Analyze data and evaluate results to choose the best solution to effectively solve issues.
  • Develop scripts or use AI to automate routine tasks and manual processes.
  • Apply knowledge gained in computer science courses to real world issues.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program with a focus on software development or related technical fields.
  • Experience in software development and coding in Python or C++.
  • Experience with data structures or algorithms from coursework or work experience.
