About the role

Developer Relations Engineer focused on teaching and enabling developers to build with Prefect, Dagster, FastMCP, and Horizon. Responsible for reference implementations, technical content, DX feedback, and public representation through talks, videos, and community engagement. Remote-first role with travel for events.

Responsibilities

  • Ship reference implementations developers copy.
  • Teach people about agentic workflows through demos, posts, talks, and video.
  • Make video a channel we’re good at (build and publish content across platforms).
  • Improve DX by being the first user (build, file issues, fix docs).
  • Represent us in public (conference talks, livestreams, communities).
  • Bring field feedback to product and engineering for improvements.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years writing software professionally; strong Python desirable
  • A public body of technical work (repos, posts, docs, talks, or videos)
  • Experience building with LLMs and agents (MCP servers, tool calling, agent frameworks, retrieval) and opinions on user-facing issues
  • Comfort on camera and on stage; able to perform publicly
  • Ability to work independently and ship with minimal guidance
