Fullstack Engineer
About the role
PropelAuth is hiring a Fullstack Engineer to build and ship authentication-focused products with a frontend in React/TypeScript and a Rust/Python backend, focusing on configurable auth experiences, security, and developer tooling for customers.
Responsibilities
- Our core product is written in React/Typescript and allows our users to create configurable, but complex auth experiences. You will own both our customer's experience AND their users' authentication experiences.
- Our backend is written in Rust with a few parts in Python
- Build configurable UIs / component libraries that can be embedded into our customers products.
- There's a lot of room to be experimental here and make delightful experiences for our customers' users.
- Build client libraries in a variety of different frameworks like React, React Native, Vue, and Svelte
- Learn and support new auth standards like MCP or biometrics support
- Be creative! In addition to auth, we want to provide our customers with all the tools they need to be successful.
- As a small team, we like supporting our employees ideas.
- Work with our Support team to understand the needs of our users
Qualifications
- 3+ years engineering experience
- Experience working independently on small teams
- Excited to build products that customers love
- Ability to move quickly, but carefully
- Experience with authentication or security appreciated but not required

As those startups grow, they can use our APIs and component libraries to pull aspects of the experience into their product. More than just authentication, we will also provide useful functions tied to a "user" or "organization", like analytics, billing/subscriptions, referral programs, etc.
