GTM Engineer

About the role
GTM Engineer at Baseten responsible for designing, building, and shipping AI-powered workflows that scale GTM functions, auditing the stack, and delivering production-ready agents and automations that improve rep productivity.
Responsibilities
- Ship AI-powered workflows for the field — build the agents and automations that give reps and managers real leverage, off-loading the manual and repetitive work. Reach for AI where it does something low-code can't.
- Get insights in front of reps — turn Salesforce, warehouse, and usage data into the dashboards, scores, and alerts reps actually act on. A build isn't done until the field is using it.
- Audit the stack and generate your own backlog — identify what's missing or broken, prioritize without waiting for a roadmap.
- Ship rep-productivity workflows fast — triage asks from the field, deliver iteratively (e.g., Monday request live by Wednesday).
- Know when to go custom — spin up bespoke AI-powered solutions in Claude Code when needed.
- Think in systems, not solutions — consider upstream/downstream implications and avoid technical debt.
- Integrate third-party APIs to sync events and information across disparate systems.
- Document what you build — ensure discoverability and trust in the work.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in GTM Engineering, workflow automation, or a technical RevOps role — ideally at a high-growth, AI-native B2B company
- You’ve shipped production agents on Vercel — built custom internal GTM apps and agents with durable workflows and sandboxed execution
- Genuine fluency with AI coding assistants and agent tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar) — actively building with these tools in production
- Hands-on experience with Clay as a primary enrichment and workflow tool
- Direct experience with Salesforce — data model understanding and CRM-level changes
- A track record of owning end-to-end AI and automation workflows
- Proficiency with integration/automation platforms (n8n, Zapier, Make, Workato, or similar) and API/webhooks
- Strong judgment on build decisions — know when low-code suffices and when it doesn’t
- Experience in high-growth B2B technology companies
