About the role

Role focused on building the intelligence layer that interprets across multiple sources of truth to make data queryable and insightful for EPD leadership, GTM, and the organization. A builder role owning end-to-end delivery of prototypes, internal tools, and agent workflows with a strong emphasis on AI-enabled impact and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Build the intelligence layer: a cross-source interpretive layer that reads across Vanta's sources of truth and makes them queryable and reasoned-over by EPD leadership, GTM, and beyond
  • Define what to build: scope the problem yourself, make explicit tradeoffs about what to defer, and own the sequence of what gets built and when
  • Ship working things yourself: prototypes, internal tools, agent workflows — using AI as part of how you work, not what you report on
  • Understand the organization: go to the teams whose decisions this layer will serve — GTM, G&A, EPD — and come back knowing what they can't answer today
  • Catch and address AI-specific quality problems — reliability, cost, latency, drift, bad answers — before they cause damage
  • Build on top of what the Signal Collection and EPD OS roles are constructing; understand what's trustworthy and what's coming
  • You scope ambiguous problems yourself — you don't wait for the mandate to sharpen before you start
  • You've shipped real things with LLM tooling recently, and your approach has evolved in the last six months
  • You change behavior across orgs you don't control — GTM, G&A — through what you build and how you communicate
  • You know what quality means when building with AI: reliability, cost, latency, edge cases, drift
  • You find root causes and consider second- and third-order effects before changes
  • No CS degree required; real, recent, shipped work and ability to learn fast clear the bar
  • Open to using AI to amplify skills and strengthen work with curiosity and responsible application of AI
