About the role

Hands-on storage software engineer focused on next-generation block storage and distributed file system development for NVIDIA DGX Cloud, with emphasis on performance, scalability, and collaboration across storage, networking, and customer teams.

Responsibilities

  • 100% hands-on coding in C (kernel and userspace)
  • Research, design, implement and test distributed storage services/features for block and file storage in Host and DPU environments
  • Acquire understanding of algorithms and interactions across NVIDIA's block and file storage ecosystem
  • Analyze and solve complex production system bugs and customer issues in kernel modules and other components; drive new solutions based on findings

Qualifications

  • B.Sc., M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 15+ years of experience as a senior developer, preferably in storage, networking, and/or operating-systems
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming
  • Experience with Linux block subsystem, filesystem and IO stack
  • Experience with storage protocols and standards, especially NVMe
  • Proven experience in designing and developing distributed systems; experience in block/file storage and/or networking systems is a plus
  • Ability to work autonomously with proactive mindset and perseverance
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Innovative, opportunity-identifying mindset to improve and reuse solutions
  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts including virtualization, scalability, and data management
  • Linux kernel coding experience (stand-out)
  • Linux kernel internals knowledge (memory management, scheduling) (stand-out)
  • Linux filesystem experience (stand-out)
