About the role

The Deals & Promotions team builds systems to help hundreds of millions of Amazon customers discover the best offers, spanning from customer-facing shopping experiences to backend services and ML-powered ranking models. The SDE will work across the full stack to design and ship features that impact how customers find and engage with deals, with high visibility and measurable impact on engagement and revenue, especially during peak events like Prime Day.

Responsibilities

  • Design and ship features across the full stack (customer-facing experience to backend services and ML-powered ranking models) that affect how customers find and engage with deals.
  • Improve ranking and personalization systems, build new discovery experiences, or integrate with AI-driven automation powering deal curation.
  • Own end-to-end delivery in a distributed systems environment with emphasis on reliability and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to a culture of high standards and measurable impact on customer engagement and revenue.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
