About the role

Senior Software Engineer to lead initiatives for features and maintenance of the online buyer experience for custom manufacturing on the Xometry website.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-On Technical Leadership: adopt a 'lead by example' approach by actively coding and troubleshooting
  • Leadership & Teaching: guide and supervise engineers, mentoring them to grow their skills
  • Code Review: perform code reviews, set coding patterns and designs, mentor others
  • Operational Excellence: ensure delivery of superior software aligned with business timelines

Qualifications

  • At least 6+ years of experience in software development in a fast-paced, product-driven environment
  • Experience with an e-commerce/marketplace product is highly desired
  • Strong technical expertise with an eye on future strategy and roadmap; able to lead a full-stack team using technologies including Python backend, React, Typescript, HTML/DOM/CSS, AWS, SQL and MongoDB, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong execution and communication skills
  • Excellent debugging skills
  • Understanding and prioritizing unit and integration testing
