About the role

Senior technical leadership role focused on architectural evolution of Xometry’s flagship enterprise partnership, re-architecting core application services to live within partner ecosystems and enabling AI-powered DFM and pricing engines with zero-latency feedback and seamless procurement inside customers’ design environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-performance solutions that extend beyond a single org and establish engineering standards for embedding Xometry-AI into external PLM environments.
  • Advance the architectural framework to be extensible, scalable, and compliant with enterprise SLIs/SLOs.
  • Lead integration of production ML pipelines into the application layer with optimized model serving and real-time geometry analysis.
  • Mentor engineers on AI tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and reduce toil.
  • Solve data gravity and security challenges; establish formal networks with partners for secure data governance (ring-fenced data).
  • Set strategic direction and lead execution of core integration, ensuring DFM and IQE AI engines create a defensible edge for the partnership.
  • Facilitate technical discourse across Xometry, guiding risk/reward conversations and champion cross-functional collaboration.
  • Define reliability and security standards for multi-tenant, enterprise-grade deployments (partner-hosted or Xometry-hosted).

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of professional software development experience, with a history of scaling complex platforms.
  • Expert-level mastery of Python, AWS infrastructure, and modern frontend frameworks (React/NextJS) for complex enterprise apps.
  • Proven experience shaping technical direction across multiple teams and establishing engineering patterns.
  • Track record of executing 6-12 month strategic initiatives through to production deployment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence senior leadership and external partners on technical strategy.
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
