About the role

Senior Android Engineer responsible for building and shipping features for Cohere’s North AI workspace platform, collaborating with UI/UX designers and researchers, with emphasis on security and privacy.

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship features for North, our AI workspace platform
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement interface elements
  • As security and privacy are paramount, you will sometimes need to re-invent the wheel, and won’t be able to use the most popular libraries or tooling
  • Collaborate with researchers to productionize state-of-the-art models and techniques
  • Research new technologies and best practices

Qualifications

  • Have extensive experience with Kotlin with Jetpack Compose
  • Built native applications for AI companies and/or built apps loved by many users
  • Read and understand, and even fix issues outside of the main codebase
  • Experience bootstrapping new projects
  • Excel in fast-paced environments and can execute while priorities and objectives are moving targets
  • Bonus: you’ve worked on audio features for apps
