About the role

Notion is seeking a GTM Compensation Lead to own commissions strategy, design, and execution for GTM. The role partners with senior GTM leaders to translate business priorities into scalable compensation programs and supports Enterprise growth in an AI-driven selling motion.

Responsibilities

  • Own commissions strategy, design, and execution for GTM.
  • Translate business priorities into clear, accurate, scalable comp programs in collaboration with senior GTM leaders (Head of Sales and geo leaders).
  • Map current GTM Comp operating model and publish a roadmap for evolving the function as GTM grows (within 90 days).
  • Introduce AI quick wins to improve work quality: triage inbound questions, estimate payouts, flag discrepancies across systems, automate reminders tied to the comp calendar.
  • Build a planning-cycle framework clarifying inputs, trade-offs, decision rights, and timelines across GTM, Finance, and Commercial Operations.
  • Provide board-level updates with reporting on plan health, payout accuracy, systems quality, and design decisions.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated judgment balancing Finance discipline with GTM effectiveness; protect accuracy and controls while designing sales plans.
  • Strong financial modeling and data fluency; translate complex plan mechanics into clear analysis and executive-ready narratives.
  • Experience leading transformative operational projects from design through rollout with cross-functional alignment and change management.
  • Track record of building sustainable quarterly operating cadences with calendars, communications frameworks, and repeatable review moments (ideally at a public company).
  • AI-fluent operating style: use AI to improve decision quality, automate checks, identify data discrepancies, and build self-serve tools/workflows.
  • Familiarity with Everstage is a plus.
