About the role

Senior Product Designer responsible for design strategy and execution of Robinhood's core equities trading product, collaborating with engineering, product management, and legal to shape long-term product evolution. Role focuses on highly intuitive, rapid-execution trading interfaces for millions of users and requires in-person presence at least 3 days/week in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the product design strategy, creating cohesive and rapid trading experiences for millions of users.
  • Evaluate and redesign core trading surfaces, such as the order form and ladder chart, to improve interaction speed and simplify complex financial concepts.
  • Collaborate directly with engineering, product management, design leadership, and legal partners to guide projects from initial concept to final production.
  • Utilize and assess AI tools within your design process to optimize workflows and propose novel, user-friendly design solutions.
  • Provide transparent project updates to leadership and help shape the long-term design standards across our broader trading team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience designing complex user interfaces and large, multifaceted products, ideally within financial technology, trading platforms, or complex editing applications.
  • Ability to operate independently, lead projects from zero to one, and deliver results against weekly milestones.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate across multiple teams and present design decisions clearly to leadership.
  • A deep focus on interaction craft, with a demonstrated ability to evaluate how multiple product surfaces work together as a cohesive system.
  • Openness to exploring and integrating emerging technologies, including AI tools, to enhance your design and prototyping processes.
