About the role

Dedalus Labs builds persistent computers for AI agents. The internship focuses on improving development tools, fixes, and speed of the build/deploy workflows within existing systems, under mentorship from engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Fix bugs and papercuts, simplify code, improve tests and tooling, and make focused speed improvements.
  • Your project will have an agreed scope and completion criteria. The outcome should be usable by the team, with tests, documentation, and a clear account of its limitations.
  • Work you might take on includes: build/test/deploy improvements, provisioning or developer-tooling workflows, small code changes with tests, diagnostics linking failed operations to logs/metrics.

Qualifications

  • Completed a meaningful programming project in Go, Rust, C, C++, or a similar language.
  • Experience with CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, networking, or infrastructure as code is useful.
  • Ability to explain design and inspect behavior on Linux, investigate failures, and reproduce difficult bugs.
  • Willingness to use AI coding tools and explain, test, and correct the resulting code.
