About the role

Role focused on mapping and optimizing mortgage origination workflows and systems, acting as the domain expert to enable AI-driven automation in Kastle's mortgage originations process.

Responsibilities

  • Map mortgage originations end to end — every workflow across origination, processing, and closing, every customer touchpoint, and every system a lender uses (LOS, POS, PPE, AUS, credit, verifications, doc prep, e-close)
  • Run quality assurance and error triage — review live agent output, catch what's wrong, and feed structured corrections back to engineering to drive measurable quality improvements
  • Build the edge-case dataset that reliable AI is built on — TRID/disclosure timing, AUS interpretation, and agency-guideline handling, especially non-standard cases
  • Be the domain expert the engineering, product, and deployment teams rely on — including in the room at customer go-lives

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in mortgage originations in an operational capacity — processor, underwriter, or originator — across multiple loan types (conforming, jumbo, non-QM, FHA/VA)

While building Redfin's Mortgage Marketplace Rishi realized traditional lenders didn't have the infrastructure to service online inquiries and were losing customers. Nitish and Rishi are building Kastle to help traditional financial services companies better interface with their customers.
