About the role

Role in Octopus Energy France focusing on building and running People Ops processes, data, automation and support for managers and teams in a NoHR environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build: pilot projects end-to-end, simplify and improve processes, develop Help Hub and documentation, build dashboards and reports, automate controls/repetitive tasks, explore simple AI/automation use cases, collaborate on Group projects with UK teams, train managers on new tools and ways of working.
  • Run: administer personnel (contracts, amendments, movements, absences, exits), payroll preparation and control, ensure data coherence across tools, address manager and employee questions, monitor operational topics, provide support during peak periods.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience in People Ops, HR Operations, or a generalist role with strong operational focus
  • Very good spoken English (minimum B2-C1) for international collaboration
  • Experience in a startup/scale-up environment
  • Comfort with run People Ops: personnel administration, payroll, data control, manager/employee support
  • Comfort with data and using it to fiabilize, analyze and pilot
  • Experience leading People/Tool projects from needs to implementation
  • Very proficient with Google Sheets/Excel and digital workspace tools (Google Workspace, Slack, MacBook)
  • Pragmatic, seeks simple, useful, and implementable solutions
  • Autonomous and able to prioritise between foundational projects and urgent operational topics
