About the role

Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Deployment And Release Engineering (DARE) team works on release engineering and deployment services. The role focuses on designing a fleet management console, leveraging AWS cloud services, and applying test-driven agentic development (TDAD) with AI-assisted problem solving across the software stack for satellite distribution and deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of software development from requirements through implementation and deployment to operations.
  • Use AI to disambiguate high level problem statements and unknowns to design flexible solutions.
  • Integrate and improve a wide range of software using AWS stacks.
  • Partner with low level embedded software systems and design scalable solutions for software distribution and deployment for satellites.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
