About the role
Software Development Engineer II on the UTR Tech team within Amazon's Last Mile organization. Builds and scales systems powering Same-Day Delivery, Grocery, and Rush programs across multiple regions. Focuses on distributed systems, reliability, latency, and operational impact in a live delivery network.
Responsibilities
- Partake in architecture, design, implementation and deployment of large-scale and complex software systems.
- Leverage experience to deliver innovative solutions to challenging problems.
- Communicate ideas effectively to achieve outcomes for team and customers.
- Collaborate with others to increase team effectiveness; set engineering examples.
- Mentor other engineers and influence broader technical decisions.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
