About the role

Software Development Engineer to design and develop manufacturing software for Leo satellite production, enabling end-to-end orchestration across factory production lines and secure handling of IP and assets for Leo’s satellite fleet and related ground systems.

Responsibilities

  • Build the manufacturing software systems used by production operations to manufacture the Leo's satellite fleet, supporting ground systems and associated ASICs
  • Build the end-to-end system capabilities required for the orchestration of manufacturing across factory production lines
  • Architect and design a secure manufacturing software system that protects Leo's intellectual property and manufacturing assets via a secure chain of custody/trust
  • Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market
  • In this role, develop Leo's secure manufacturing software systems and orchestration software capabilities for industrial automation in manufacturing of the Leo satellite fleet and supporting ground equipment
  • Engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to develop, qualify, produce, and deploy solutions and products enabling Leo’s global network

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
