About the role

Cleared Data Center Technicians to join AWS Infrastructure Operations, responsible for diagnosing and resolving a range of data center infrastructure issues (hardware, fiber, networking) while applying IT principles to solve problems in one of AWS’s global data center environments.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in physical data center activities including planning and tracking capacity, rack deployment, rack cabling, hardware and software troubleshooting, and rack decommissioning.
  • Lift and move material up to 49 pounds.
  • Work in cramped or elevated locations; bending, lifting, stretching, reaching; standing and walking for 8+ hours; climbing ladders, stairs, gangways; work in noisy environments.
  • Shift work that may include days/nights/weekends/holidays to support 24/7 operations.
  • Take ownership of technical issues from customers and coordinate with other teams to drive resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems, understanding root causes and broader context.
  • Maintain SLAs through proactive issue detection and reporting.
  • Drive process improvements and act proactively in the absence of direction.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
  • 2+ years of server hardware troubleshooting and repair experience, or experience in networking
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
