About the role
Cleared Data Center Technician role focusing on resolving and troubleshooting data center infrastructure issues (hardware, fiber, networking) within AWS data centers. Requires TS/SCI with polygraph and US citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Engage in physical data center activities including capacity planning and tracking, rack deployment and cabling, hardware and software troubleshooting, and rack decommissioning
- Lift and move material up to 49 pounds
- Work in cramped/elevated locations and noisy environments
- Stand/walk up to 8+ hours daily; ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely
- Work shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations (covering both night and day shifts)
- Take ownership of technical issues, troubleshoot, and drive resolution across teams
- Maintain SLAs through proactive issue detection and reporting
- Improve effectiveness through process innovation
- Position may be at multiple sites and require variable shifts (days/nights/weekends/holidays)
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Associate's degree in IT-related field or equivalent professional or military experience
- 2+ years of experience with server hardware and 1+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems
