About the role

Technical leader to manage and grow a team within AWS Support CIM, responsible for delivering scalable, high-availability, GenAI-informed support products and services. Leads development processes, partner with product management, and ensures security and operational excellence while driving career development and recruiting.

Responsibilities

  • Product: partner with product manager to define and execute product vision and goals.
  • Projects: develop roadmap and delivery plan, track progress, identify dependencies and risks, and manage expectations when plans change.
  • Process: own and optimize the team’s development process, run an agile framework.
  • People: manage performance, mentorship, career development, and output of the team.
  • Technical and operational excellence: ensure security-first, high-availability design using native AWS technologies; mentor on design best practices.
  • Recruiting and Hiring: lead hiring efforts, coordinate with recruiting, participate in screenings and interviews, ensure proper onboarding and training for new hires.
  • Incident and Escalations Management: serve as point of contact for escalations and incidents affecting case management services; drive improvements to tools and processes.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 7+ years of engineering experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for full software/hardware/networks development life cycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, certification, livesite operations)
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline or equivalent
