About the role

Senior CHDE role within AWS HWEngS focused on architecting, designing, developing, and delivering next-generation server and rack solutions for Amazon’s enterprise infrastructure and large-scale data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Bring new technology to server products and scale operations for a growing fleet
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver high-performance servers
  • Establish strategic vision and drive execution for new products and services
  • Lead integration and delivery of servers; develop automated monitoring and failure analysis services
  • Work with AWS software teams to tailor server solutions for AWS environment
  • Support production launch and operation of server fleet
  • Define products from concept to production including design, development, validation, deployment
  • Solve design challenges across disciplines (server/board design, thermal/mechanical, firmware/software, software service control plane, manufacturing, data center operations)
  • Produce functional block diagrams, schematics, specifications, analysis, test plans, and monitoring plans
  • Lead cross-organizational teams to improve TCO, quality, reliability, performance, and serviceability
  • Act as end-to-end owner from concept through launch

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent, or 5+ years of relevant technical experience
  • 5+ years of server-level design experience for compute/storage/accelerator or similar complex product
  • 5+ years’ experience leading ODMs and other suppliers in product development and manufacturing
  • Experience developing functional specs, design verification plans, and functional test procedures
  • Experience in board and server root cause analysis and resolution
