About the role

Solutions Architect role focused on helping U.S. Department of Defense organizations adopt innovative cloud solutions using AWS technologies, with emphasis on US Navy/Marine Corps and related DoD customers. Includes defining architectures, delivering POCs, leveraging AI, and sharing best practices within the AWS solutions architect community.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects
  • Define implementation architectures, develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and how applications/services are built on the AWS platform
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on security and related technologies for customer applications and services
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community
  • Collaborate with sales and business development teams, including ecosystem partners
  • Learn from and educate other technical minds across enterprise architecture
  • Design, build, educate, train, and design cloud computing architectures for Defense Department customers
  • Experiment with and demonstrate technology solutions leveraging AI technologies to expedite delivery and quality
  • Engage in deep-dive technical discussions around design and industry trends
  • Maintain pulse on market trends and cost-benefit considerations in advisory engagements

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 3+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
