About the role

Operations Engineer role in AWS Managed Services focusing on operating a managed service platform, troubleshooting deployments, automating with Cloud Formation, and delivering high-availability infrastructure for global customers in Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the Managed Service platform and collaborate with internal service teams to meet customers' infrastructure and application deployment needs.
  • Troubleshoot application deployments, recreate customer issues, and build proof of concept applications; apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide solutions.
  • Work on critical highly complex customer problems spanning multiple AWS services.
  • Help build and maintain CloudFormation templates and scripts to automate AWS resources and configuration changes.
  • Collaborate and help build utilities and tools for internal use enabling safe operation at high speed and scale.
  • Leverage day-to-day experiences to provide the voice of the customer to internal AWS teams.
  • Drive customer communication during critical events.
  • Learn and leverage emerging technologies.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of network and operating system support experience
  • 4+ years of virtualization, orchestration and cloud computing experience (e.g., Hypervisors, VMware, Xen)
  • 4+ years of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or 4+ years of technical support experience
