About the role
PM on agent interop and partnerships focused on developing Glean's APIs, SDKs, and MCP strategy for developers within customers and partners. Deep technical role blending product management with hands-on API/SDK design, developer experience, and collaboration with enterprise partners.
Responsibilities
- Own the design and evolution of our public APIs and SDKs, including versioning, deprecation, and backwards-compatibility promises.
- Spec the developer experience end to end: auth, onboarding, first call, error handling, rate limiting, webhooks, and edge cases.
- Write code. Build sample apps, run integrations, and experience rough edges personally before customers.
- Review documentation by reading it as a developer and fix misleading or incomplete parts.
- Analyze support tickets and forum patterns to treat recurring questions as design defects.
- Set and defend metrics: time-to-first-call, integration success rate, API error rates, and indicators of developer shipping.
- Lock API contract and requirements before engineering starts; resist mid-flight scope changes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in platform, developer experience, API, SDK, or partnership-driven products
- Deeply technical and comfortable working through API contracts, request payloads, logs, telemetry, and tradeoffs with engineers
- Built or led APIs and SDKs that are robust, scalable, and easy for external developers to adopt
- Strong product taste for developer interfaces, clear abstractions, consistent resource design, and machine-readable errors
- Empathetic to developers; can identify confusing documentation, workflows, or product behavior
- Experience directly with customer and partner developers to translate needs into platform improvements
- Experience integrating products with third-party enterprise applications with reliable production integrations
- Clear writing and preference for concise specs, accurate documentation, and guiding developers on next steps
- Ability to define success with metrics and track adoption, usability, and business impact for developer-facing products
- Excited about AI and helping customers/partners build more effectively with it
