About the role

Octopus Energy UK is hiring a Field Sales Representative to join the Venues Sales team, focusing on face-to-face engagement at venues in Newcastle and Durham to promote energy tariffs and low carbon technologies, deliver exceptional customer service, and convert conversations into new customer sign-ups.

Responsibilities

  • - Directly engage with customers on a face-to-face basis to promote energy tariffs and low carbon technologies (e.g., solar panels, heat pumps, electric vehicles).
  • - Introduce Octopus Energy to local communities as a preferred supplier by comparing services with other energy companies to help customers decide whether to switch.
  • - Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming, positive experience for every new customer.
  • - Maximize every customer interaction and travel to venues across specified locations.

Qualifications

  • - Sales experience preferred but not required; ability and willingness to learn is valued.
  • - Confident in own communication style; great listener with genuine interest in connecting with others.
  • - Positive, approachable, and confident communication.
  • - Experience in a customer-centric setting with quick, effective solutions.
  • - Willingness to approach customers and maximize each interaction.
  • - Enjoy helping customers and delivering joy through simple processes.
  • - Attention to detail and accuracy in handling tasks.
  • - Honest, focused, and committed to representing the brand.
  • - Driving license to travel to various venues across locations.
