About the role
Staff Product Manager leading a new AI-native product family focused on closed-loop observability, automation, and AI-assisted product decisions. Hybrid work model in New York, with broad collaboration across engineering, design, product analytics, and pricing to bring a zero-to-one product to customers.
Responsibilities
- Set product direction for a new product family by defining problems and outcomes, partnering with engineering to prove value in phases.
- Own product decisions at every loop stage: signal trust, opportunity ranking, proposed changes, evidence, and the next cycle memory.
- Define the autonomy ladder and controls for automated changes, including what stays manual or auto, and audit trails for customers.
- Set quality bar for non-deterministic product; build evaluation sets and determine ship readiness under schedule pressures.
- Recruit design partners, participate in triage, and translate learnings into roadmap and post-launch iterations.
- Develop and defend sizing, impact, and cost-to-serve analyses for resourcing, unit economics of inference, data platform, packaging, metering, and pricing.
- Deliver concise written and verbal communications to executives, engineers, and customers about architecture, trade-offs, and go-to-market directions.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of Product Management experience, or track record showing Staff-level capabilities in related software roles (AI product experience preferred).
- Shipped AI products to production with measurable field learnings and iterations.
- Fluency in evaluating AI models and prompts; experience with evaluation sets and shipping criteria under deadlines.
- Experience with agent failure modes, non-determinism design considerations (confidence, reversibility, blast radius, review surfaces, graceful failure).
- Zero-to-one track record: started something with no roadmap, reached customers, and shaped or pivoted direction with rationale.
- Ability to read across engineering, product teams, sales, FinOps, marketing, and finance to form defensible product positions.
- Collaborative, opinionated, and comfortable with ambiguity; strong stakeholder trust-building; documented decision rationale.
