About the role

Staff Software Engineer responsible for leading Knowledge Catalog’s Core Search and Discovery Infrastructure, focusing on hybrid semantic search, search quality evaluation, and scalable, low-latency distributed systems. Includes technical leadership, architecture, and mentorship with Bengaluru as a Center of Excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for Knowledge Catalog’s (Core) hybrid semantic search infrastructure and search quality evaluation platform.
  • Architect scalable, low-latency distributed infrastructure to achieve sub-second latency Service Level Agreements across various search use-cases.
  • Build a scalable search infrastructure for agents and humans.
  • Foster engineering excellence, robust system design, and production reliability across all search serving and indexing pipelines.
  • Mentor and grow other Individual Contributors, establishing Bengaluru site as a Center of Excellence for search infra and quality use-cases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  • Experience in distributed databases and large-scale distributed systems.
