About the role

Oversee data center operations and manage a team of Data Center Technicians responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of server hardware, components, and networking infrastructure in Google's data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of teams within data center operations.
  • Communicate priorities and facilitate hand off of operations to following shift leads.
  • Work together to identify and resolve problems and create solutions for our global computing and network architecture.
  • Hire, coach, and develop a team while achieving business goals.
  • Ensure data center-related priorities are consistent with company objectives. Implement and drive the safety culture at the site, while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware.
  • 5 years of experience managing technical, vendor, contract management, or delivery teams.
  • 5 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.

  • US: $138000 - $200000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
