About the role

Be part of a team developing custom silicon solutions for Google’s Home products, driving hardware design from concept to mass production within the joint design manufacturing (JDM) model for Google’s Home and Health initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve and mediate conflicts, risks, priorities and tradeoffs, helping the core team coordinate next steps, build consensus, and land in solution space.
  • Ensure hardware specification deliverables are met at each design phase.
  • Lead new design concept features through exploration, prototyping, and implementation to mass production.
  • Partner with Product Design (PD)/Engineering Program Management (EPM)/Cross-Functional (XFN) leads to assessing the technical feasibility of the system integration and program schedule.
  • Communicate across system level issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience working in consumer electronics system design.
  • Experience in one of the following domains, such as architecture, power/battery/Soc, interfaces, or analog/camera/display engineering.
