About the role

Software Development Engineer for AWS AI/ML services within the Information Retrieval space, working on distributed machine learning systems and large-scale solutions using ML/LLM technologies. Opportunity to influence team road map, drive architecture, and coach junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • designing, developing, testing, and deploying distributed machine learning systems and large-scale solutions for a worldwide customer base
  • collaborating closely with team to influence overall strategy and define team road map
  • driving system architecture and spearheading best practices to enable a quality product
  • coaching and developing junior engineers
  • working with the newest machine learning technologies, including LLMs, on an AI service within AWS Information Retrieval space

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
