About the role

Staff Software Engineer role at Xometry focusing on architectural evolution of flagship enterprise partnership and re-architecting core services to operate within a partner's native ecosystem, driving zero-latency DFM feedback and one-click procurement within enterprise design environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-performance, cross-organization software solutions and establish standards for embedding Xometry-AI into external PLM environments.
  • Advance architectural framework to be extensible, scalable, and compliant with enterprise SLIs/SLOs.
  • Lead integration of production ML pipelines into the application layer with optimized model serving and real-time geometry analysis; mentor engineers in AI practices.
  • Solve data gravity and security challenges; establish formal networks for partner and Xometry engineering collaboration and ring-fenced data governance within partner networks.
  • Set strategic direction and lead execution of core integration; ensure DFM and IQE AI engines create a distinct edge for the partnership.
  • Facilitate technical discourse across Xometry; serve as primary contact for senior leadership; guide risk/reward discussions and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Define reliability and security standards for enterprise deployments (partner-hosted or Xometry-hosted) and ensure multi-tenant management.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of professional software development experience, with a history of scaling complex platforms.
  • Expert-level mastery of Python, AWS infrastructure, and modern frontend frameworks (React/NextJS) for complex enterprise apps.
  • Proven systems architect capable of shaping technical direction across multiple teams and establishing engineering patterns.
  • Track record of executing 6-12 month initiatives through to production deployment.
  • Strong communication skills to influence senior leadership and external partners on technical strategy and investments.
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
