About the role

Software Engineer role focused on building user-facing features across the Peregrine platform, collaborating with design and product management to ship fast, intuitive, and trustworthy experiences that turn large data into actionable insights for investigators and analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Own large portions of the user-facing platform from start to finish, including features across Search, Dossier, Charts, Dashboards, Maps, Network, Table, Workspace, Docs, Automations, and Mobile
  • Ship features that are fast, intuitive, and trustworthy by collaborating with design and product management
  • Build search and semantic discovery across billions of records
  • Design Dossier views that assemble a complete picture of an entity on demand
  • Craft real-time, collaborative experiences on maps and networks
  • Bring AI-powered capabilities with source transparency and trust
  • Focus on latency, interaction design, and resilience to enable complex workflows

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience working with cross-functional software development teams
  • Experience shipping and iterating on production-grade, user-facing software (professionally or in open-source)
  • Strong frontend fundamentals (React/TypeScript) and comfort with full-stack development
  • Ability to write robust, well-tested, well-designed code frequently deployed to users
  • Solid understanding of architecting and scaling distributed software systems
  • Strong best practices in modern software development and ability to navigate large codebases
  • Located in San Francisco or Washington, D.C. and open to working in office 4 days a week
