About the role

Lead Brand Designer at Novig, a YC-backed sports prediction market startup. Hybrid/NYC-based full-time IC role focusing on brand identity, campaign assets, and collaboration with product and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Help solidify Novig's brand identity and evolve it as we scale. Then be its keeper.
  • Own design concepts with real autonomy, from art direction through execution, across brand, campaign, and marketing work.
  • Act as a strategic design lead. Partner directly with peers in product, marketing, and leadership.
  • Look for places Novig's design can level up. If you spot an opportunity worth chasing, pitch it and go make it.
  • Partner with product design to create graphics (icons, illustrations, promotional assets) and branded moments within the app.
  • Direct contract designers on overflow work.

Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of design experience at top brands, studios, or agencies.
  • A world-class portfolio that showcases your eye and your craft.
  • Impeccable taste.
  • The confidence to operate with real autonomy.
  • An obsession with craft that doesn’t discriminate by project size.
  • Range across print and digital. Familiarity with product design is a big plus.
  • Comfort wearing a lot of hats: art director, strategist, designer.
  • A finger on the pulse of art, culture, and design.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. Startup pace means sometimes building the plane as we fly it.
  • Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; motion design experience is a strong plus.
