About the role

Field sales role focused on promoting Octopus Energy tariffs and low carbon technologies at venues, engaging with customers face-to-face and delivering outstanding service to onboard new customers.

Responsibilities

  • Directly engage with customers on a face-to-face basis to promote energy tariffs and low carbon technologies (solar panels, heat pumps, electric vehicles).
  • Introduce Octopus Energy to local communities as a preferred supplier by comparing services/products with other energy companies to help customers decide on switching for their home energy supply.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming, positive experience for every new customer brought on board.

Qualifications

  • Sales experience preferred but not required; ability to talk to people, build relationships, and help customers is valued.
  • Confident in communication, good listeners, and genuinely interested in connecting with others.
  • Positive, approachable, and confident communication style.
  • Experience in a customer-centric setting with quick, effective customer solutions.
  • Willingness to approach customers and maximize every interaction.
  • Enjoy helping customers and making processes easy.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
  • Driving license required to travel between venues across locations.
