About the role
Senior Applied AI Engineer on the AI Platform team responsible for end-to-end product engineering of AI agents and platform, including architecture, evaluation, integration, deployment, and production readiness within EU data residency.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship agents. Design agents that automate real fund-operations workflows, and own them from prototype through production and after.
- Evaluate and improve agent performance. Build evaluation layer with test cases from real documents, regression suites in CI, human review, and measurable metrics (accuracy, latency, cost).
- Own the AI application architecture. Orchestration and multi-agent design, tool contracts, memory and context engineering (RAG, MCP) with guardrails and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Run it in production. Versioned, feature-flagged rollout of agent versions; rate limits, provider fallback, regional failover within EU data residency; observability to trace failures.
- Make it a platform, not a project. Consolidate document parsing/extraction, share evaluation/observability, set patterns for other engineers, collaborate with DevX, mentor engineers on agent and LLM practice.
Qualifications
- 5+ years building production software, including at least one agent or LLM-powered capability end-to-end
- Real depth in orchestration and context engineering with Mastra, ai-sdk, LangGraph or similar; integrated agents into a real product with authorization model
- Evaluation expertise in making non-deterministic systems measurable (test cases on real data, regression suites, human review)
- Production ownership including tracing, failure diagnosis, tuning cost/latency, handling provider rate limits and fallback
- Backend experience with TypeScript and/or Python
- Platform mindset and ability to build for engineers as well as end users
- Pragmatic mindset prioritizing business outcomes and appropriate deterministic solutions
- Experience in fintech/private markets or regulated, document-heavy domains a plus, EU data-residency constraints a plus
