About the role

Optical Packaging Test Engineer in NVIDIA's Advanced Technology Group (ATG) responsible for benchtop testing of optical packages, updating methodologies and equipment, and collaborating across teams to define testing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for benchtop testing using advanced optical test equipment.
  • Updating testing methodologies and optical equipment.
  • Creating new documentation to standardize workflow and procedures.
  • Data collection and visualization of optical parameters in test chips.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams within NVIDIA and define optical package testing requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Data Science, Physics or related fields or equivalent experience with 2+ years of work experience
  • Experience with optical test equipment like lasers, OPM, BRM, and optical switches
  • Knowledge in optical connector standards
  • Basic photonic device knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving skills
