About the role
Lead the Infrastructure Security Engineering for NVIDIA’s EDA Clusters, building and operating security controls across on-prem and multi-cloud environments to protect large, long-running, performance-sensitive workloads in EDA. Own security outcomes from day one, drive a production-focused roadmap, and embed secure-by-default practices into infrastructure lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead the team of engineers; own the technical roadmap and ship EDA-specific security controls into production.
- Make the network and platform your control plane; security must extend beyond the node.
- Engineer around hard constraints; determine where conventional tooling fits and design alternatives for multi-day compute jobs.
- Ensure uniform enforcement of security frameworks across on-prem and multi-cloud environments.
- Manage the full lifecycle of core infrastructure security technologies: selection, deployment, operation, and replacement.
- Automate evidence; create KPIs, instrumentation, and audit workflows with security posture visibility as an engineering output.
- Think like an adversary; perform mitigation planning across network, storage, and compute.
- Champion security by design; embed automation and secure defaults into the infrastructure lifecycle.
Qualifications
- 12+ years building and operating production infrastructure at scale (network, compute clusters, storage)
- 5+ years leading and managing engineering teams
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience
- Deep networking expertise in large compute environments
- Hands-on experience operating compute fleets at scale (provisioning, lifecycle, long-running high-value jobs)
- Understanding of hyperscaler methodologies for large-scale systems with security and reliability as co-equal goals
- Experience securing performance-sensitive/high-throughput environments with constrained tooling
- Extensive history of building/guiding engineering teams for complex distributed or multi-cloud architectures
- Ability to drive unified outcomes across organizational boundaries and communicate effectively with engineers and executives
