About the role

Google software engineer role focused on leading technical projects within the AI and Infrastructure team, delivering large-scale networking and infrastructure software solutions with potential project switching across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
  • Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
  • Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions.
  • Work on automation systems that execute complex network lifecycle operations such as expanding/upgrading/decommissioning network sub-components

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience programming in C++.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
  • Experience in networking and systems infrastructure.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (preferred).
  • 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms (preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction (preferred).
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects (preferred).
  • Experience in network infrastructure and software-defined networking (preferred).
