About the role

Software Development Manager for Amazon Leo Manufacturing Systems Engineering within the Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises. Leads software systems powering production operations for Amazon Leo manufacturing, defining roadmaps, architecting solutions, and driving integration of software with manufacturing systems using AWS, IoT, and data analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a team that design, develop, and implement manufacturing software systems for production operations of the Amazon Leo satellite fleet, including integration with manufacturing systems.
  • Architect scalable software solutions that meet functional requirements, security standards, and performance specifications.
  • Partner with cross functional teams such as satellite software and hardware engineering teams to deliver solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency and production quality.
  • Define and implement growth strategies for software services and team capabilities.
  • Deliver real customer value while raising the bar on operational excellence.
  • Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
