About the role

Software Support Engineer role within Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) Quality, PF2 division, providing software deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting across CV systems (e.g., Omniscan, AFEX3, CVAP, Metis, Thea, VBI, IDT) globally. Focus on sustaining uptime, developing SOPs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support multiple vision and measurement systems from staging to GA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide resolution support of incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks, with responsibilities covering multiple systems, features and services.
  • Work on operations and maintenance driven tasks including coding where needed.
  • Software deployment support in staging and production environments across multiple systems including some Tier-1 systems.
  • Develop tools to aid operations and maintenance
  • Work with engineering team for taking over active issues and creating a team specific knowledge base and skill set.
  • Work to streamline the SOPs, automate operations to reduce engineering burden around device maintenance.
  • Handle time sensitive deployments across NA, EU, and FE.
  • Handle issue resolution around device maintenance.
  • Work with engineering teams to surface operational issues for feature prioritization.
  • Work with deployment teams both internal to AFT Quality and across various FCs.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
  • Experience scripting in modern program languages
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
