About the role

Engineer responsible for design, development, deployment, and operation of services for enterprise billing within AWS, focusing on high scalability, low latency, and secure customer experiences. Role requires ownership, cross-team collaboration, and delivering customer-focused, high-impact features for the AWS Commerce Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Do design, development, test, deployment and operation of services that our customers depend on.
  • Be responsible for ensuring sanity of architecture, operational excellence and quality, delivering results on time.
  • Work closely with other AWS teams to deliver features that require cross-team leadership.
  • Obsess over protecting customer information, maintaining single-digit millisecond latencies, and simplifying enterprise scale commerce complexity.
  • Regularly dive into architecture, code, test plans, project plans, deployments and operations to drive excellence through your organization.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
