About the role

Area Manager responsible for leading a team of hourly employees in Rural Rural Logistics (RSR) within Amazon’s Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) organization. Focus on safety, quality, productivity, and on-time customer deliveries, with open overnight shifts and weekend/front-half or back-half schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Support, mentor, and motivate your team
  • Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
  • Collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
  • Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, as well as continuously climb and descend stairs
  • Work in varying noise levels and weather, including refrigerated environments
  • Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts)

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
