About the role

Senior Embedded Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and integrate next-generation devices, focusing on real-time embedded firmware, embedded Linux software, and kernel/ BSP development within the HW Compute Group.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C/C++ code for embedded systems
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues in kernel drivers, BSP, and OS framework integration
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions during product integration and in the field
  • Develop and implement low-level embedded software including kernel device drivers, network stack components, platform porting, and other system-level programming activities
  • Develop and customize BSP, graphics drivers, and platform ports for next-generation devices
  • Develop, port, and test software and firmware layers within the Linux kernel and associated frameworks
  • Maintain code quality, organization, and test automation
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Participate in code and design reviews

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • Experience in embedded development in C/C++
