About the role

Senior leader for the AVS (Brand Consulting) division within Amazon’s Home Improvement category in Japan, responsible for managing Brand Specialists, driving vendor growth with AI-supported initiatives, and improving team productivity across multiple vendors and brands.

Responsibilities

  • Manage annual business goals and action plans for AVS vendors and maintain strong relationships to execute plans.
  • Lead and develop a team of Brand Specialists, owning their actions and performance.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for vendor issues and drive appropriate resolutions.
  • Conduct regular internal/external business reviews to track progress and adjust actions as needed.
  • Analyze business environment and contribute to the development of new AI tools and actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in team management
  • Experience in corporate planning, business strategy, consulting, or in sales/marketing/promotions within technology, retail, telecom, fashion, electronics, or media industries
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities
  • Excellent external and internal stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English (written and spoken)
