About the role

Senior software development role focusing on building end-to-end hiring solutions on Native AWS for a global, mobile-first, external-facing platform. Responsible for 24x7 highly available services, security, bot prevention, and scalable architectures to support Amazon’s hiring processes.

Responsibilities

  • Be a technical leader that is not afraid to challenge the norms and innovate.
  • Execute against project plans and delivery commitments.
  • Develop relationships with internal and external partner teams to move fast.
  • Help establish the long-term success strategy for your systems, development best practices, and operational excellence processes.
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure your strategies are in alignment with the rest of the development teams.
  • Develop junior and new team members by mentoring them on multiple fronts.
  • As part of our growth, build end-to-end hiring solutions on Native AWS from ground up, handling job creation, search, application, and candidate day-1 experience.
  • Develop services and assets for an external facing, mobile-first, global solution used by millions of applicants.
  • Automate business processes using AWS services and other technologies to create a friction-free customer experience.
  • Ensure tier-one services are highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient against bot activity and abuse patterns.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
